To provide an independent view of the Company without the bias of an executive role, helping to:

  1. Stimulate the Board’s vision and strategy:
    Provide long-term economic analysis
    Evaluation of commercial opportunities
    Market potential
    New technologies
    Independent measurement of the Company’s performance
    Balanced view of resource commitment (people, plant and financial) for the long-term security of the Company
  2. Commit time and energy to the Company:
    Understand the Company:
    Its vision
    Its markets
    Its technology
    Its people
    Prepare for Board Meetings
    Spend time helping and developing senior executives
    Undertake special projects when requested
